I am a single grandmother raising a 14 yr old with autism and a 13 yr old with odd.We were homeless for a year no we have a home but no furniture and no christmas for the 2 nd year in a row.If anyone can help with financial issues to get furniture we would appreciate it.
Oh wow...where do I start? Ok, first off I am a single mother of four kids. They are my everything and I just want them happy, safe, and able to live a normal life and succeed. I am 28 yrs old, my children are 3, 4, 7 and my oldest turns 9 in 2 weeks. I left their dad because he was physically and mentally abusive to me. He didnt do things to them but i didnt want them growing up thinking that was a normal relationship. When I left him I moved us in with my 70 yr old grandmother since there are no shelters around our area and she had "plenty room". I had a job for the last six months and was paying toward my debts...now my client is too sick and I am out a job. My gma also is a couple months from selling her home and moving. So, I am being sucked back into possible moving in with their dad again just to have financial stability. This is not good at all. And when i left him he took everything from our furniture to the kids clothes and even mine. I have tried so hard to get back on track and out of her house but i just cant seem to accomplish anything at this point. What do I do now? My kids need me...the real me...not this worried, depressed, form of a mother that snaps at them when they SPEAK because shes mad at herself. I need help I dont know what to do ):
have a aunt who is diagnosed with severe thyroid! she has been living in a hurricaine damaged home since katrina!Everyone has turnt her down for help! her sickness has kept her from working!ive tried and tried to connect to the right people for help for her! can you please help!
Are you in contact with a Social Worker thru SSI and DSHS? They do offer transportation for those with medical needs. Do you recieve food assistance? If not, I would suggest applying asap, as that will help get your foot in the door to become eligible for other programs and assistance like transportation, medical needs/costs, etc.
Hello, I am 43 never drank or did any drugs but here i am with liver disease, i will need a transplant. The complications from it are life threatning like the bleed from a vessle in my esophogas but right now the other major complication i have is Pulmonary Hypertension. I cant walk far and i even have trouble walking to the bathroom. I tire easily. My problem is my husband left me and my car just blew up and I havent any family that i can turn to for help. I just started getting ssi but they dont pay much its under $500 a month. I really need a car to get to the hospital and all my doctors. Please Help Me!!! thank you

You need to get your head out of where you have it. There are loads of people on here that are willing to help in what ever way that they can. I'd do a little gig for you to get you to smile and feel better, but you woudn't be able to see it, I'm afraid. i wonder if it is possible that someone might actually see peoples stories on here and feel the need to help.......it is nice to hope, i cried all day yesterday and it doesn't help much to do that, but when you feel like you are a waste of air, and think of doing the worst what can you do...i am eat up with despair and hopelessness....

I am not sure were you live but Social Serrvices here in Pinellas county will help disabled people pay bills like mortage and utilities for short periods of time, check them out in your city. Good Luck
I am trying to help my brother right now. He's trying to get on the liver transplant list. Although he is on SSDI and MA, his bills are mounting and he's getting shut off notices for his phone, gas, and electric. He owns his home, but cannot work because he's in end stage liver disease. I try to help as much as I can, and I have contacted the National Association for the Terminally Ill.
I would appreciate any help anyone is willing to give, and would really appreciate any information from people who have been through this before.
My brother is 53 years old, and I think that is too young to die. He has had Hepatitus C for a long time and it has damaged his liver to the point of needing a transplant. He can no longer pay his bills and will probably end up losing his house soon.

Ok, Now this is getting really rediculous. Things keep getting worse and worse. I just found out that now not only am i about to loose my storage stuff. But the same month I am to deliver this baby, I no longer have a place to live. And as on this coming Monday I no longer have the use of a car. I do not know what I am going to do. I appreciate all the helpful messages from everyone here. But this may be my last posting. I won't have much luck getting to a computer without a car. Thanks everyone. I am a father of 3 who is recovering from a 2nd back surgery. I have been told by my doctor and physical therapist that it may take up to 6 months before I am able to return to work. I have exhausted all my sick and personal leave. I have worked all my life and never have asked for anything free but now I am desperate. Since I am not permanently disabled I do not qualify for goverment assistance. I am in danger of losing my home to foreclosure and other bills are mounting. I am a father of 4 wonderful children and I have been married for going on 12 years now. I have had to apply for SSI in my state due to me having Identity Disorder and BiPolar Disorder making it hard for me to work. I had a very well paying job 7 years ago with an Auto-Plant and lost it because of my problems with my disorders, I have for many years fought these issues and finally had a breakdown 2 years ago while at work and it was the last straw for me. I had never felt so small in all my life. I was raised by my coal miner father and was raised in a very abusive home as a child. We never had much of anything growing up and I was more than excited to get my own family and take BETTER care of them than what I was. I was the bread winner for my family and I worked a job that had no benefits what so ever and my employer wont offer any assistance with medical bills and that came from what saving I had at the time, that was gone within a few months of getting treatment. So me and my family was out with no one to turn to. I applied for SSI and I am going into the hearing stages by the end of this year and this has been the most tring times of my life and my wifes life I am sure. We was getting help from her father to help pay the bills and he has gotten sick last month and now they tell him that he has Lung Cancer in both lungs and that they cant do surgery. We are now down to our last dime and I dont know where to turn. Looking over the internet for something to point me in any direction and I came across this and decided to post wondering if anyone out there can offer assistance? I am on the verge of losing my home now and its not a big home, nothing to brag about, but it was mine and I worked hard to just get it 4 years ago. Now everything is looking so bad. If anyone can find it in their hearts to offer help please let me know. Thank you so very much.

Please anyone! My good friend is a single mother of 4, who works 2 jobs, and truly has her hands full! She was $120 short on her rent last month, and now she's been evicted, locked out, and charged an extra $500 just to get back into her apt., and next months rent is already due! She's got like 1/2 of what she needs, but in the mean time her kids are struggling for temp. housing, and really could use a leg up! She doesn't do drugs, and she's not a felon, she's just a great mom trying to get by.....please- any amount will help!! (I'd help if I could, but I'm struggling myself!)

I have decided ro share something with you. I developed Lupus from silicone breats implants that went bad. It is imminent to my health and my life to get them removed. I am part of the Dow-Corning class action lawsuit. I spoke with my attorney on Thursday and Dow-Corning is dragging the case out for another two years, This leaves me in a desperate situation. I was counting on them paying out this year so that I could get the implants removed. I am too sick to hold down a job. I am begging and pleading for my life! Would some kind-hearted soul please help me?! I have no where else to turn.

I am a 26 year old single mother of 4 children, ages 5, 4, 2 and 1. I just got out of a very verbally, emotionally, and sometimes physically abusive relationship with their father. He would not work, which left the financial burden of providing for my family entirely upon me. I got behind on some bills after I had my youngest child because I couldnt find a job for a few months. I have never been able to catch up.
Everything came crashing down on me about a month ago. My rent was behind, my water and electricity got cut off, and my car broke down. What made it the hardest for me was having to deal with the abuse everyday when I came home from work, adding unnecessary stress. One day I got fed up and took a chance. I took what I could and left.
My first week in Atlanta and I already got a job. Good pay, yet not quite enough to provide comfortably for a family of 5, but the best is yet to come. I have faith in God, and feel very optimistic. I no longer have to deal with the abuse, and I can start a new chapter. But of course I have new hurdles to overcome, being that at the moment we really have nothing but the clothes on our backs. A good friend loaned me their car for a while, the children are in daycare, which I get assistance for, and I am staying at a womens shelter. They said we can stay for 30 days, which should be enough time for me to save up a few paychecks and find a place. Right now Im going to need 1st months rent, deposit, utility deposits, furniture, gas money, clothing, diapers, etc. I have been riding on fumes because I have no money right now, so the gas tank is empty and I'm making it by solely on faith. God is taking me in a new direction for a reason. I have inside of me the strength to make the necessary changes to leave my old negative, stress-ridden life behind and begin a new chapter, for the sake of my children. I am a hardworker but I just need a little help to get over the hump of this transition. Any help or advice would greatly be appreciated!!! Thank You!

I LIKE TO BE OFFERED A BARTENDING JOB AT A NICE ESTABLISHMENT SO I CAN MAKE SOME MONEY TO CONTINUE TO HELP MY DAUGHTER AND GRANDCHILDREN WHEN THEY NEED ME MOST, IT BREAKS MY HEART WHEN I CAN'T HELP WHEN THEY ASK AND I DON'T HAVE ANY PLACE FOR THEM TO COME TO ANYMORE. I NEED HELP GETTING A NICE SIZE HOUSE IN A NICE AREA SO MY GRANDCHILDREN CAN HAVE A CHANCE.
I'D LIKE TO START A BUSINESS FOR MYSELF, BY BUYING HOUSING CHEAP, FIXING THEM UP AND SELLING OR RENTING TO LOW INCOME FAMILIES. THIS ALSO GIVES ME A JOB AND INCOME WHILE HELPING OTHERS.
